How to Eat Healthy at Buffalo Wild Wings

There is something so appetizing about a big plate of buffalo wings. There also seems to be something really fattening about the dishes that we love. It's safe to assume that anything dipped in ranch dressing can't be too good for you, but you may be surprised how easy it is to eat healthy at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Experiment with sauces. The whole point behind Buffalo Wild Wings is their sauces, most of which come in at around 20 calories with 2 grams of fat. So you can choose one that fits your fancy. Keep in mind that the Caribbean Jerk, Honey Mustard, Thai Sauce and Southwestern sauce have a slightly higher calorie count, but each still has less than 100 calories a serving.
Step2
Get portions under control. Less is more, so order the smallest order of wings or tenders possible and save yourself on calories.
Step3
Go naked. Naked tenders, that is. One deep-fried chicken wing can have around 250 calories with 15 grams of fat. So choose their naked (unbreaded) white-meat chicken strips to save on the calorie count.
Step4
Skip the dressing. Ranch dressing will raise your fat factor, so skip it altogether and eat more celery.
Step5
Think before you drink. Alcohol is wasted calories, so stick to water to lighten your meal.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most restaurants have nutritional information available to their patrons, so make sure to ask for a copy.
  • The calorie counts reported by each restaurant are estimates and may vary by location or portion size. Always use common sense about eating healthy while dining out.
