An Astrologer is a person who uses the movement of the stars and other celestial bodies to predict the future, explain personalities, create horoscopes and predict and explain other human affairs. Becoming an astrologer can lead to a fun and interesting career for many people and can be very profitable.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Find out more about astrology. There a couple of different philosophies and many books that can help you learn about astrology. Check out books at your local bookstore, library, on eBay or on Amazon to help you start your astrology career.
Step2
Consider taking an Internet course at the Astrology Career Institute, Sky Sage or the Academy of Metaphysics. Institutes and astrology schools will teach you how to use astrology to predict the future and create horoscopes and may officially certify you as an astrologer. Some courses will teach you additional skills such as how to use astrology for match making purposes. However, you do not have to be certified or take any special classes to be an astrologer.
Step3
Take a math class. Charting the movement of the planets and creating horoscopes takes a great deal of math skills. The more skilled you are at math, the easier this will be.
Step4
Visit Astrologyzine online. This website answers many people's questions about how to become an astrologer. It explains how to use your own basic and innate talents to follow this career path.
Step5
Check your neighborhood newspaper to see if there's a group of astrologers that meet in your area. You can learn new things, meet people who share your interests and have people to bounce ideas off of. You can ask these people what they did to become astrologers and whether or not they found certification necessary.
