How to Display Jewelry

Selling and creating jewelry takes a lot of time, patience and effort. But sometimes, just sitting out your jewelry on a plain table won't even be enough to catch the customer's eyes. It is very important how you set up your jewelry display so that somebody will stop and look. Jewelry displays can be of several shapes, colors and sizes. Lighting is also a very important aspect in displaying jewelry. When a designer puts together the right kinds of displays, colors and lighting to attract attention to the jewelry, the creations can almost sell by themselves.

Instructions

1. Research retail stores or online websites where jewelry displays can be purchased. 2 great places to start your research are JewelrySupply.com and also Firemountaingems.com.

2. Purchase the jewelry displays that you have selected. Make sure if you have a display for each type of jewelry that you want to showcase. For instance, if you have necklaces, make sure you have necklace displays or bracelet displays for bracelets. Keep within the same color code or design to give your jewelry a neat and professional look.

3. Gather your jewelry together and place the jewelry on their corresponding displays. Set it up on a table with some pretty-colored tablecloth. Add some good lighting to make your jewelry sparkle.

4. Put out some mirrors where clients can see themselves trying on jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets or earrings.

5. Include a sign and business cards with your jewelry business's name and contact information. Sit it on or near your jewelry table.

6. Be ready for any customer questions about your jewelry, and be sure that pieces of jewelry are available for customers to try on in case they decide to purchase.

Tips & Warnings

• If you are having a home jewelry party, include some pretty candles around your display (but not too close), for a soft look to your jewelry. Make sure that there is plenty of light upon your jewelry. Perhaps you could even dim the lights in the room a little bit, so that that the jewelry is the focus of the room.
