Organizing your reading material makes for faster and easier access. Some newspapers become important to us when they contain special articles, birth dates, obituaries and other news topics of the years. Without proper organization, a newspaper collection can become very cluttered fast. Older newspapers will become discolored and unreadable if not kept in safe covering or plastic. There are only a few simple basic steps to keep a well organized collection of your newspapers or other reading material.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Purchase a small magazine shelf or file holder to place your newspapers in. Buy some dividers to separate your newspapers too.
Step2
Gather all of your current newspapers together. Separate them according to the name of the newspaper.
Step3
Separate the newspapers according to the date and year.
Step4
Arrange the newspapers alphabetically by name.
Step5
Organize each newspaper by month, date and year.
Step6
Place the newspapers on the shelf. Place dividers in between each of the organized section. Place sections in between different newspaper names, months and years.
Step7
Cover newspaper sections in plastic for the important ones that you want to keep. Throw away any newspapers that have been discolored or no longer have any special meaning.
