How to Make a Menu in Publisher

Creating a menu in Microsoft Publisher is an inexpensive way to dress up a dinner or provide a menu for a restaurant. Publisher makes creating a menu quick and easy. With some instruction and creativity, you can be making menus that you can be proud of.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Pick the items you want to put on your menu.

  2. Step 2

    Open Microsoft Publisher by clicking on the desktop icon or find Publisher in the start menu under "All programs." The wizard's window automatically opens.

  3. Step 3

    Click on "Menus" from the list.

  4. Step 4

    Follow the directions in the wizard window to design the menus.

  5. Step 5

    Click "Hide Wizard" when you are finished.

  6. Step 6

    Decide on a font and a color. They both must be easily readable and fit the style of your dinner or restaurant.

  7. Step 7

    Type the text into the text boxes in the menu. If the menu is multiple pages, check to make sure all of the text boxes are on the correct page. The page numbers are located on the bottom left of each page.

  8. Step 8

    Add pictures to the menu. Click on "Pictures" in the insert menu. Pick the pictures from the file or the clip art section. Click on the picture to move it to a different area on the menu.

  9. Step 9

    Save the menu. Under the "File" tab, click on "Save As." Name the file and click "Save."

  10. Step 10

    Print your menu. Click on "Print" in the "File" menu. Change the number of copies. Click "Print."
