One easy trick to master on a dirt bike is the wheelie. By following a few steps you can learn how to pop a wheelie. With a little practice you will be able to do a wheelie on any surface and even add your own personal flair.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start the dirt bike and ride it for a few minutes to warm the motor and build your confidence on the bike.

  2. Step 2

Stop the dirt bike on an area of dry ground covered in thick grass. Pavement will work as well, but hurt more if you fall.

  3. Step 3

Give it a burst of gas and pull up on the handle bars. You should also be shifting your weight towards the back of the bike as you give it gas.

  4. Step 4

Moderate the throttle on your dirt bike as soon as the wheel starts to lift off the ground. Let off the throttle to lower the front wheel and add throttle to continue lifting the wheel.

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice a lot. Do not give up if you fail the first few times. If you keep trying you will learn from your mistakes and quickly master the wheelie on your dirt bike.
  • Be careful not to give too much throttle or you will flip the bike out from underneath you and end up on your butt.
  • Do not do this stunt on a windy day. The wind will push the bike around more when it is only on one wheel and may cause you to lose your balance and fall.
  • You will fall a few times so be sure to wear a helmet and other pads you deem necessary. Be prepared to flip backwards onto your back and to crack your head a few times.
