Step1
Determine what type of activity your schedule will allow for you to burn the additional 100 calories. If you are in your vehicle for a large portion of the day, you have to find creative ways to burn calories. If you are in an office setting, finding ways to burn additional calories can be easier.
Step2
Walk to work or school. Walk around the parking lot on your lunch break. Take the kids to the park to play while you walk. A brisk walk for 15 minutes will burn exactly 100 calories. Use a pedometer to track how many steps you've taken and to time how long you've walked.
Step3
Do housework. Yes, I know it's not anyone's favorite thing to do, but little activities like vacuuming for 25 minutes, gardening for 15 minutes and ironing for 15 minutes all burn 100 little calories.
Step4
Play with your children. Instead of taking them to play at the park, play with them. Let them throw the ball and you run and get it. Or make up a running game and just run, run, run. They will love your participation and you will get in a little exercise.
Step5
Eat negative calorie foods such as celery, peppers and tangerines. Negative calorie foods are foods that burn up more calories in the process of digesting them than the food actually has in calories. You can find a complete list of negative calorie foods at Weight Loss International.
