Open Microsoft Word. If you are using Windows, click the "Word" icon on your desktop or go to the "Start" menu, click on "All Programs" and select Microsoft Word from the menu. If you are using a Mac, click the "Word" icon in your menu bar or search for it in Apple Finder.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can download additional templates for Microsoft Word from Microsoft Office Online. There is a link to this site within the templates interface.
  • Avoid using the shortcut "Ctrl -N" for opening a new document. This will give you a blank new document rather than going to the templates interface.
