Tips & Warnings
Use your local community center for a free venue. Have community members make desserts to save on food cost.
Get a local restaurant to donate the night's venue, including the room and food.
Business donations through organizations can be claimed on taxes. Use this as a selling point when asking businesses to donate or allow usage of their facilities.
Find a current event that is held through a cancer organization and bring it to your town.
Do not ask doctors for names of cancer survivors or patients. They cannot give you this information. Simply provide them with information to make available to their patients.
Tread lightly as some survivors or patients are not ready to be involved in events.
