  1. Step 1

Picture yourself in a pine grove with this scent. Combine these essential oils: two drops pine, seven drops fir needle, four drops juniperberry, three drops cedarwood, four drops rose, two drops rosewood, two drops lavender, one drop basil, two drops rosemary and one drop palma rosa. To scent stale Christmas trees or artificial ones, pour the mixture into a spray decanter with 1/2 cup vodka and 1/4 cup water and mist the tree boughs. Be sure to unplug the lights first.

  2. Step 2

Add the fragrance of flowers to Christmas cheer. Mix the following essential oils into a pan of hot water on the stove, place on a light bulb diffuser or stir into potpourri: five drops rose, five drops sandalwood, three drops jasmine, two drops sweet orange, four drops bergamot, one drop ylang-ylang and two drops Roman chamomile.

  3. Step 3

Create a wassail bowl scent by mixing 10 drops plumeria fragrance oil with the following essential oils: one drop ginger, two drops clove, six drops sweet orange and two drops bergamot. Place on a light bulb diffuser or spray into the air using a small plastic spay bottle available at cosmetic supply stores. Dilute the oil solution with 1/2 cup vodka and 1/4 cup water for the spray.

  4. Step 4

Stop by the woods in a snowy evening--in your mind--with this luscious blend. Combine these essential oils in a mister for a room spray or refresh a potpourri bowl them mixture: six drops fir needle, six drops cedarwood, four drops coriander, two drops vetiver, five drops lemon, five drops rosemary, two drops rosewood, three drops palma rosa and five drops lavender. This clean fresh scent is invigorating for a party.

  5. Step 5

Warm up on Christmas Eve with this aroma in a light diffuser, added to a candle or water on the stove. Mix these essential oils: three drops jasmine, five drops vanilla, six drops cedarwood, two drops frankincense, two drops myrrh, two drops rose, two drops lemon and one drop bergamot. This scent evokes a quiet scene before the manger.
