Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Newspaper
  • Family Circus book
  • Family Circus posters
  • Family Circus television specials on VHS
  • Email account
  1. Step 1

Enjoy the Family Circus website. There you can look at Bil Keane's other drawings, including from when he was in high school, read Family Circus cartoons, learn more about Bil Keane and purchase Family Circus items from his online store.

  2. Step 2

Find Family Circus in your local paper. There are lots of newspapers that run this popular comic strip. Cut them out and put them on your fridge so you can see them every day.

  3. Step 3

Purchase the book titled "Family Circus by Request," which has been released by Guidepost Books. There are 200 cartoons in the book and all are hand colored.

  4. Step 4

Look for Family Circus posters on the Internet and cover your walls with them. Bil Keane has produced a variety of posters for schools and kids promoting self-esteem.

  5. Step 5

Purchase Family Circus television specials on VHS tape through an online auction (because they are no longer made). Unfortunately there were only three, so you will have to watch them over and over. They are: "A Family Circus Christmas," " A Family Circus Easter" and "A Special Valentine with the Family Circus."

  6. Step 6

Email Bil Keane. Tell him how much you love Family Circus. Bil's email address is: 2familycircus@cox.net

on 11/29/2007 This is funny. As a fellow Family Circus fan, I can see you've covered all the bases. My own comic Silly Daddy is influenced by Keane's work and this was a nice how-to to run across.
