Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 12-inch green pipe cleaners
  • 1 12-inch bright color pipe cleaner

    Steps to Make the Leaves

  1. Step 1

Find the center point of one of the green pipe cleaners.

  2. Step 2

Bend each end of this green pipe cleaner into the middle point you just found, leaving a little bit of extra pipe cleaner in the middle.

  3. Step 3

Twist the extra pipe cleaner in the middle around the center point. You should have a shape that looks a little like a bow tie.

  4. Step 4

Shape each side of the bow tie into the desired leaf shapes. These can be short and round, long and slender or pointed at the tip.

  5. Steps to Make the Petal

  6. Step 1

Use the color pipe cleaner to make the petal part of the pipe cleaner flower.

  7. Step 2

Make a circle with the pipe cleaner and tightly twist the ends together so that it stays together.

  8. Step 3

Pinch the circle in half and twist.

  9. Step 4

Pinch each of the two halves in half and twist. You will have four little circles.

  10. Step 5

Bend the chain of circles into a circle and attach the two ends together with a little twist.

  11. Steps to Put the Flower Together

  12. Step 1

Use the second long green pipe cleaner to be the stem of your flower.

  13. Step 2

Lay the stem under the center of the leaves and twist the bottom towards the top and the top towards the bottom to secure the leaves onto the stem.

  14. Step 3

Weave the top of the stem into the center of the petal piece and twist to attach.

  15. Step 4

Bend the stem, leaves and petals to make the flower shape of your choice.
