How to Plan a Spooky Halloween Party

Halloween is a great time to host a party. Invite your guests over for a spooky fun time. Below are a few ideas for creating a haunted house and playing creepy Halloween games. Get ready to host your monster bash with these suggestions.

  • Toilet paper
  • Boiled eggs
  • Grapes
  • Noodles

    Spooky Decorations

  1. Step 1

    Hang body parts in your entryway such as a mannequin head hanging from rope. Add other body parts by cutting the leg out of old pants and the arm out of an old shirt. Stuff the arm and leg. Use a stuffed glove to create a hand.

  2. Step 2

    Stretch spider web around your door. Hang strings down so guests feel as if they are walking through a spider web.

  3. Step 3

    Carve spooky jack-o-lanterns to place around your house. Use battery lights instead of candles for safety. Keep the rest of the room dark with the jack-o-lanterns casting an eerie glow.

  4. Step 4

    Set the mood by playing creepy Halloween music. Make a slide show of scary movie clips or images to play on your television.

    Hold a costume contest. Have each guest model their costume and vote on whose is the best.

    Play Halloween charades or Halloween Pictionary. Use Halloween words for these classic games. Act like a witch, a vampire or a bat. Try to draw a witch's cauldron, a jack-o-lantern or a black cat.

  8. Step 3

    Wrap someone in toilet paper to make a mummy. The team with the best mummy wins.

  9. Step 4

    Create a haunted hallway. Fill bowls with boiled eggs, grapes and noodles to create brains, eyeballs and guts. Tell your guests to reach in to feel the body parts.
