Phillips Academy Andover is a coed boarding high school located in Andover, Massachusetts. The non-profit academy seeks intelligent students from diverse backgrounds. Students at the academy are encouraged to develop socially and personally, as well as intellectually.

  1. Step 1

    Go to the main website for Phillips Academy Andover. Select the "Virtual Tour" link. Discover the landmarks and the history of the landmarks as you scroll through the virtual tour using the "Next" button.

  2. Step 2

    Contact the Office of Admissions, which offers student guided tours during the summer. The tours are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each tour is led by a current day student of Phillips Academy Andover.

  3. Step 3

    Participate in an open house. During the school year, the Office of Admissions hosts two open houses. These information sessions and campus tours allow local families to visit the school while it is in session in October and January. You need to make reservations to attend by calling (978) 749-4050.

  4. Step 4

    Explore The Commons, which is the main gathering area for students. It is the home to the dining halls and to the Ryley Room. Catch up with students at the Ryley Room, where you can play games or pool.

  5. Step 5

    Hike through the 125-acre section of land known as The Sanctuary. This natural area is the home to a log cabin where student groups plan activities like sleepovers.

  6. Step 6

    Tour the Cochran Chapel, which is the center of religious activity for Phillips Academy Andover. Students from all religious backgrounds and faiths attend services in the chapel. The chapel also hosts student activities including performances by the orchestra.
