Within walking distance of Princeton University, the Hun School of Princeton stresses a rigorous, traditional, college-prep curriculum for students in grades 6 through 12. Founded by a Princeton professor in 1914, the school has slowly grown to include approximately 500 to 600 students on a 45-acre campus that is about an hour away from both New York City and Philadelphia.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Go to class first, at either the Chesebro Academic Center or the Buck Building. The two buildings contain most of the academic classes, including the science labs and computer stations and are located in a central position on campus.
Step2
Walk behind the academic buildings to find the Athletic Center. With a gym, fitness center, tennis courts, track and sports fields, most students can find a sport to meet their style. Some sports utilize community facilities, such as crew teams and swimming.
Step3
Take a look at the art facilities available at the Landis Family Fine Arts Center. Students are offered courses in dance, theater, music and the visual arts. The Hun School is located so close to major metropolitan areas that students can often take advantage of professional productions and other cultural activities.
Step4
Grab a bite to eat in the student dining hall. The Dining Hall joins Poe Dorm, Carter Dormitory and Russell Hall to cluster around a courtyard with a nice view of the tennis courts and the Mall. Step outside Russell Hall to stroll through the Katherine W. Gorrie Memorial Garden.

Tips & Warnings

  • The school provides support for students with mild learning disabilities.
