Touring the Hill School in Pottstown, PA, is a great way to determine whether it's the best place for you. This competitive preparatory school for grades 9 to 12 has both boarding and day school options. Many faculty members live with students in the boarding houses and act as residential assistants. Dress is formal at this non-denominational school. Class sizes are small and there are nightly study sessions.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Take a virtual tour of the campus online. Their virtual tour lets you click on various campus buildings and read about each one.
Step2
Attend one of The Hill School's informational events. You can find a list of dates, places and times on their website. If they are in your area, take the opportunity to listen to what they have to say before you make the trek to Pennsylvania.
Step3
Schedule a tour in advance by calling the administrative office at (610) 326-1000 ext. 7251.
Step4
Take a tour September through May. Tours are available Monday through Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Later tours are available at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Be sure to visit the school while it's in session.
Step5
Prepare questions before you go. This way you won't forget what you wanted to know.
Step6
Walk by the Center For The Arts and take in the water fountain and viewing pool. Appreciate the blend of old and new on campus as a symbol of both tradition and progression.
Step7
Take some time to visit Pottstown. The Hill School encourages students to get involved with the community. The school's website has links to the Pottstown Chamber of Commerce where you can find out more about the shops, restaurants and lodgings available.
