How to Create Photo Statuettes Using Mpix

A fun way to display your favorite photos is with a statuette from Mpix. The subjects are traced, cut out on acrylic and mounted on an acrylic base. You can choose a single person, a group shot--or even you with your favorite car or motorcycle. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

    Select Quantities

  1. Step 1

    Log into Mpix. Select the album containing the photos you would like to order.

  2. Step 2

    Select the images you would like to order.

  3. Step 3

    Select "Order Prints."

  4. Step 4

    Click "Select Quantities" next to the photo you would like to order.

  5. Step 5

    Decide if you would like an 8x10 statuette or a 5 by 7.

  6. Step 6

    Enter the number of statuettes you would like to order in the box next to the statuette size you've chosen.

  7. Choose Finishing Options

  8. Step 1

    Select any retouching options, such as facial retouching, stray hair removal, glass glare removal or red eye removal.

  9. Step 2

    Click "OK." Check your order. Make sure you have the correct photo and quantity selected.

  10. Step 3

    Select "Next."

  11. Step 4

    Crop the photo as you like. Leave at least a ΒΌ inch at the bottom for the base.

  12. Step 5

    Select color, black and white or sepia tone.

  13. Step 6

    Specify how many heads there are to trace: 1, more than 2 or a group shot.

  14. Step 7

    Click "Next."

  15. Step 8

    Choose paper finish, such as e-Surface, metallic or true black and white.

  16. Step 9

    Preview your selection to make sure it's exactly as you want it.

  17. Step 10

    Proceed to check out, and enter your shipping and billing information.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is best to crop your image before ordering.
  • Avoid extending the subject off the photo.
