Step 1
Request a Shadow Visit. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions schedules Shadow Visits and Open Houses. Shadow Visits are led by students and include attending classes, eating on campus and the option of staying overnight in a resident hall. You need to schedule a Shadow Visit at least three weeks in advance by calling (800) 222-6544.

Step 2
Discover on-site living. The university offers a variety of living options, including traditional resident halls, university apartments and special housing. There are six coed resident halls, plus Cobeen Hall for freshmen females and O'Donnel Hall for male freshmen. Special housing is available for engineer, nursing, honor and multi-cultural students.

Step 3
Interview students in Campus Town. Campus Town offers apartments, over 20 retailers, restaurants, taverns and a laundromat. Drop by the Union Sports Annex in Campus Town for dinner and a round of bowling. The Annex also includes a bar and additional sports facilities.

Step 4
Check out campus attractions like the St. Joan of Arc Chapel. The chapel is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and accepts donations. You need to plan on visiting the "Walk of Champions" in the Al McGuire Athletic Center and Campus Town.

Step 5
Get a meal at one of six dining hall locations to see what the students eat. Dining halls are open continuously from breakfast to dinner and provide all-you-care-to eat formats. The dining hall in McCormick Hall has extended evening hours for night owls.

Step 6
Try your hand at rowing. The university offers intramural and club sports which include rowing, coed curling, fencing and sailing. Marquette University is home to the Golden Eagles who compete in 16 sports in the Big East Conference. Sporting events are held at the Al McGuire Athletic Center. Aside from sports, the university has 160 student organizations.
