Instructions

Step1
Stop by the university. You can visit the campus Monday through Saturday; however, to get a good feel for the campus, plan on visiting during a weekday. You can schedule a visit to the campus by calling (888) 292-5366.
Step2
Get to know the on-campus housing. Merrill Hall is the only all-male resident center and Sweeney Hall is the only all-female resident center. Wheeler and Calkins Halls are alcohol-free resident centers. The rest of the resident centers are co-ed.
Step3
Visit Bovee University Center, the center of campus life, to catch up with students. The Student Activity Center also presents some good opportunities to chat with current students.
Step4
Take a walk. Central Michigan University is spread out over 480 acres of land. You can visit the Campus Bookstore or head over to Christ the Lutheran Chapel. Take a visit into Mount Pleasant and enjoy a stroll along the Chippewa River.
Step5
Dine at the Down Under Food Court or Goodies to Go, located in the Bovee University Center, or grab a coffee at Java City inside Park Library. Real Food on Campus offers a variety of foods on an all-you-can eat basis. It is located in the Towers Residence Complex.
Step6
Cheer for the Chippewas. The Central Michigan University Chippewas offer a wide variety of college and intramural level sports. Campus stadiums include the new Theunissen Stadium for baseball, the Kelly/Shorts Stadium for football and field hockey and Rose Arena for basketball, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics. If you are interested in playing for the university you need to schedule an appointment with the athletic department and coaches.
