Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

    Donate To The King Center

  1. Step 1

Request a copy of the organization's annual report (IRS Form 990), its materials for prospective donors, and other information to inform yourself about the Center's work and mission. You can contact the King Center by mail at The King Center, 449 Auburn Avenue, NE, Atlanta, GA 30312 or call (404) 526-8900.

  2. Step 2

Take inventory of your funds and decide how much you will donate to the King Center. You should also think about whether you wish to make your donation a recurring, automatic contribution to be charged to your credit card on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

Learn more about the King Center's work, mission, and many accomplishments by visiting the King Center website and viewing its materials and partners (see Resources below).

  4. Step 4

Donate directly online by clicking on the "Make a donation" link at the King Center website.

  5. Step 5

Supplement your individual or corporate donation with a substantial, more participatory gift by sponsoring, buying tickets and attending the annual Salute To Greatness Awards Dinner which is held each year in Atlanta on the Saturday evening before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January. You can get more information on this event by using the contact information above or by clicking on the "Salute To Greatness Dinner" on the website.

  6. Step 6

Contribute to the King Center by shopping for books, CDs, memorabilia and other material related to Dr. King and his legacy either in person or online at the King Center Gift Shop and Resource Center. This facility is located at the King Center on the national historic site in Atlanta. Find it online clicking on its link on the King Center website or by emailing shop@thekingcenter.org.
