Step 1
Look on your voter registration card to see where your polling station is located. Usually stations are located at local libraries or schools for neighborhood convenience and parking access.
-
Step 2
Call your County Clerk's office to see what programs are offered for transportation to the polling stations on Election Day.
-
Step 3
Check the local bus schedules for information to get a ride to your precinct. Some counties offer free bus service on Election Day, just to get more voters out to the polling stations.
-
Step 4
Organize a small carpool with some friends. This method saves gas and gives you accountability that ensures you get out of the house and perform your American civic duty.
-
Step 5
Call a taxicab company because they may be offering a special discount or even free service to get you to the polls and back home on Election Day.
-
Step 6
Contact your local Secretary of State office. If you are unable to get a ride to the polling stations, they may be able to supply you with a state-sponsored voucher for transportation on Election Day.

on 11/4/2008 I always thought I was just an average guy. Certainly no better or worse or smarter than anyone else, especially everyone I know or have known. Since coming to this site and in particular the "how to's" about voting etc., I have come to realize that I am a freaking genius. I am amazed at some of these writings. America is in deep need of mental and emotional help.
