Things You'll Need:
- Photo or scrapbook album
- Decorations (optional)
- Pen
- Digital camera
-
Step 1
Create a festive atmosphere for Hanukkah so that your scrapbook will be filled with the spirit of the miracle of the season and not just reflect how your home and family appear to look at any other time. So clean the house, get out the decorations and spruce up the family's holiday attire.
-
Step 2
Plan to take plenty of photographs during Hanukkah so you'll have a varied selection to choose from to fill your scrapbook. Using a digital camera eliminates the need and expense of running out to get your pictures developed. It also ensures that you only keep the pictures that come out right.
-
Step 3
Label the photographs you choose to put in your Hanukkah scrapbook with names and dates. There's nothing more frustrating or likely to start a family debate than trying to remember how old children were when the picture was taken.
-
Step 4
Collect mementos from dinners and gatherings with family and friends for your Hanukkah scrapbook. Scrapbooking is not just about photographs. Include things like matchbooks or napkins from restaurant outings, a sprig from the Hanukkah wreath, a child's handmade drawing, or a few special Hanukkah cards that arrived in the mail.
-
Step 5
Embellish your Hanukkah scrapbook with charms, stickers, bits of ribbon, scalloped edged picture tabs--the works. A visit to your local craft or sewing supply store should inspire you.
-
Step 6
Consider using a scrapbooking kit from Natural Designs to make your Hanukkah scrapbook (see Resources below). The kit contains everything you need. As an added bonus, it comes with a Hanukkah cardmaking kit too.

on 12/8/2008 Hi! This article links to a wonderful product that, sadly, is no longer available at NDISB. We do have a similar product though. If you can link to this one, that would be fabulous. Thanks so much!
