Step 1
Find Day of the Dead Ecards at most of the major Ecard websites. These cards tend to be more mainstream and almost cartoon-like in nature, but they do capture the spirit of the holiday.
-
Step 2
Check region specific websites for Southern California, Arizona, Texas, Mexico and other Latin American countries. Even new sites sometimes feature local art, and many artists working with Day of the Dead designs live in these areas.
-
Step 3
Visit websites for Day of the Dead folk artists. Often, artists share some of their work as Ecards to help promote their website.
-
Step 4
Look for Day of the Dead links on DiadeLosMuertos.us (see Resources below). Besides offering a wealth of information on the Day of the Dead artwork, the site keeps a list of links to other site, including those with Ecards to send.
-
Step 1
Find a site that allows you to send Ecards. Some sites require that you register before sending a card. Use a valid email address, so the return address on your card will be correct.
-
Step 2
Pick the Ecard you want to send. Be sure to click on the card's thumb to open an information page. Some cards have sound or animation that can be previewed from this page.
-
Step 3
Fill in the form to send the card. You need the email address of the person you want to send the card to. To send the card to more than one person, separate each address with a comma.
-
Step 4
Write a note to go with the card and add your email address. While it may be tempting to use a different email address, you should remember that the Ecard may come from the address you enter. Your friend may not open a card from a strange address.
-
Step 5
Decide if you want to be notified when the recipient opens the card. Usually, you just check the proper box to receive the notification.
-
Step 6
Hit send and wait for your friend's day to be brightened by the Day of the Dead Ecard you sent.
