Being romantic means different things for different people, but it is all about letting your loved one know how special they are to you and making them happy.Whether it's a neck massage at the end of a hard day's work or a special meal, you have to show the people in your life what they mean to you.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • an open mind
  • wanting to make an effort
Step1
One of the best ways to bring romance back into your life is to pretend that you and your spouse are dating again. Do all the cute things you did when you first got together, hold hands, tickle and play. Give them a big kiss when they come home. Remember in the beginning it was unbearable to spend any time apart!
Step2
Give them a little present. It doesn't have to be expensive or extravagant, it just has to show you know them and know what they like. For example, their favorite chocolates or bringing them their favorite paper to read in the morning with coffee. These things show that you care enough about them that you know what is important to them.
Step3
Leave little love notes around the house for your love to find. Put notes in your love's lunch or in their suitcase when they are packing to go on a trip. It is a wonderful surprise to find a random declaration of love from your loved one.

Tips & Warnings

  • No one is born romantic, if it does not come naturally then you just have to work a little harder.
  • While your love is in the shower write "I love you" in the condensation on the mirror.
  • Look else where for inspiration: use a thesaurus to describe your mate!
  • Don't worry about going overboard, you can never love someone too much, that is, if the feelings are mutual.

on 9/24/2007 This is good advice for anyone in a relationship. I've been married for 10 years now and I attribute our success to doing exactly what you recommend and that is to act like you're still dating. Great article jordanhope16! By the way, I read in the forums that you live out on the NC coast. We just got back from a weekend in Myrtle Beach, SC and the weather was incredible. That said, another great way to enjoy time with your loved one is to learn to shag together. (the dance) LOL :)

on 9/10/2007 Flowers never disappoint. Giving them when they're not needed or expected always works.
