How to Make Orange Butter

If you are looking for a way to jazz up your breakfasts, consider whipping up some orange butter. It's perfect with muffins, great with sconea and out of this world on brownies. Here is an easy recipe. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 tsp. orange rind
  • 3 tbsp. orange juice concentrate
  • 4 tbsp. brown sugar
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Grater
  • Small food processor

Instructions

      Remove butter from fridge and allow it to soften on the counter for 30 minutes.

      Grate orange rind (you don't have to peel the whole orange) until you have accumulated 3 tbsp. of rind. Dump into food processor.

      Add the butter, orange juice concentrate and brown sugar to the food processor.

      Grate a liberal amount of fresh cinnamon from the cinnamon stick into the food processor.

      Blend the orange butter mixture until smooth and creamy.

      Remove from processor, place the butter in a bowl and set in the fridge. You may also shape the orange butter in a butter mold. The butter should last about 10 days.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also freeze what you don't use. It will last up to 2 months.
