Americans love pizza so much that they will make it out of anything, even bagels. Making bagel pizza is to fix a fast dinner. Try this recipe.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bagels
  • Jar of tomato sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Baking sheet
  • Foil
  • Non-stick spray
  1. Step 1

Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Wrap your foil around your baking sheet. This will ensure that any tomato sauce or cheese that burns over will not damage your pan.

  3. Step 3

Slice your bagels in half. The great thing about this recipe is that you can make as few or as many as you'd like. Use plain varieties. Save the sweet bagels, like cinnamon or chocolate chip for another recipe (bread pudding perhaps).

  4. Step 4

Arrange the bagels on your baking sheet in a single layer.

  5. Step 5

Spoon tomato sauce on to the bagel and spread around the outside, avoiding the hole.

  6. Step 6

Sprinkle pre-shredded mozzarella cheese onto your bagels. Remember more cheese equals more calories, so reducing the amount of cheese can significantly reduce calories.

  7. Step 7

Place in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown. Remove and serve hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • This is a great idea for a child's party or for fussy family eaters. Provide a smattering of pizza toppings and let them all create their own.
