Make a bouquet you can display for years. A paper flower bouquet is a clever twist on a traditional fresh floral bouquet. Make real-looking flowers and leaves with colorful tissue paper, wire and floral tape. Add as many flowers as you like to make any size bouquet you want.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Three shades of green tissue paper
  • Tissue paper for flowers
  • 18-inch floral wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral tape
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon

Step1
Put three different colors of green tissue paper together. Cut 2-by-3- inch rectangles out of the each set. Fold the rectangles in half and cut points at each end.
Step2
Unfold the pointed rectangles, and gather them in the middle. Fold a piece of 18-inch wire in half. Slide the green leaf set through the middle of the wire at the bend.
Step3
Tighten the wire, fold the tips of each tissue paper in, and form a set of two leaves on a stem.
Step4
Cut rectangle-shaped pieces out of any color tissue paper. Cut the edges round to form flower petal shapes, leaving a flat end to attach to the base.
Step5
Make a small ball of colored tissue paper. Wrap a square piece of tissue paper over the ball and around the end of the wire with leaves. Secure the ball to the wire with floral tape.
Step6
Add petals one at a time to the wire with the leaves. Twist ends of petal around the wire and secure them with floral tape. Start with smaller petals and move on to larger petals, twisting and taping each on top the next.
Step7
Bend petals to form a flower. Cover all wire with green floral tape to finish each flower before arranging all into one bouquet. Secure together with a ribbon.
