How to Make a Blueberry Martini

Martinis have had a complete makeover. No longer are they simply vodka or gin with a splash of vermouth. High-end vodka lines have been releasing flavored vodkas, which allow for wonderful experimentation and awesome drinks. Here is a recipe for a refreshing Blueberry Martini. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Blueberry vodka (Smirnoff makes a fantastic one)
  • Ice cubes
  • Triple sec
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Bar sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Blueberries
  • Chilled martini glass

      Garnish your glass with bar sugar. Dip the rim of your chilled martini glass into a shallow bowl of lemon juice. Then, dip the glass into your bar sugar. Shake off the remaining sugar and set the glass aside.

      Combine all of your ingredients into your shaker. Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes. Next, add 2 oz. of your blueberry vodka, 1 oz. of triple sec and 1 oz. of lemon-lime soda.

      Cap and shake your shaker for 15 to 20 seconds until well mixed.

      Pour your drink into your previously rimmed, chilled martini glass.

      Add a few fresh or frozen blueberries to your drink and serve to your thirsty guests. This recipe makes one large martini.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consider squeezing some blueberries to get a little of their juice. Then add a splash to the shaker before mixing the drink.
