Martinis have had a complete makeover. No longer are they simply vodka or gin with a splash of vermouth. High-end vodka lines have been releasing flavored vodkas, which allow for wonderful experimentation and awesome drinks. Here is a recipe for a refreshing Blueberry Martini.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blueberry vodka (Smirnoff makes a fantastic one)
  • Ice cubes
  • Triple sec
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Bar sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Blueberries
  • Chilled martini glass
  1. Step 1

Garnish your glass with bar sugar. Dip the rim of your chilled martini glass into a shallow bowl of lemon juice. Then, dip the glass into your bar sugar. Shake off the remaining sugar and set the glass aside.

  2. Step 2

Combine all of your ingredients into your shaker. Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes. Next, add 2 oz. of your blueberry vodka, 1 oz. of triple sec and 1 oz. of lemon-lime soda.

  3. Step 3

Cap and shake your shaker for 15 to 20 seconds until well mixed.

  4. Step 4

Pour your drink into your previously rimmed, chilled martini glass.

  5. Step 5

Add a few fresh or frozen blueberries to your drink and serve to your thirsty guests. This recipe makes one large martini.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider squeezing some blueberries to get a little of their juice. Then add a splash to the shaker before mixing the drink.
