In-and-Out Burger is a fast food restaurant that serves burgers, fries, shakes and drinks. While some of the items aren't health conscious, there are changes that you can make to eat a meal that's better for you.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Change the regular hamburger. The original has 390 calories, 19 grams of fat and 39 grams of carbohydrates. Eat the burger with mustard and ketchup instead of the regular sauce to lower the calories to 310 and the fat grams to 10. A healthy alternative is to replace the buns with lettuce. This lowers the calories to 240, fat grams to 17 and the grams of carbohydrates to 11.

  2. Step 2

Order a customized cheeseburger from In-and-Out Burger. The regular cheeseburger has 480 calories, 27 grams of fat and 41 grams of carbohydrates. Eat it with mustard and ketchup, instead of the normal sauce, to reduce the calories to 400 and the fat grams to 18. Replace the buns with lettuce to get 330 calories, 25 grams of fat and 11 grams of carbohydrates.

  3. Step 3

Eat the Double-Double with healthy changes. Without any changes the burger has 670 calories, 41 grams of fat and 39 grams of carbohydrates. Use mustard and ketchup instead of the normal sauce to reduce the calories to 590 and the grams of fat to 32. Ask for lettuce instead of buns for 520 calories, 39 grams of fat and 11 grams of carbohydrates.

  4. Step 4

Skip the fries. This eliminates 400 calories, 18 grams of fat and 54 grams of carbohydrates from your meal.

  5. Step 5

Have a Diet Coke instead of a regular one. A better alternative for a healthy meal is unsweetened iced tea or water.
