Many adults can remember back to their high school years when ditching class was the most exciting thing to do. If you want to ditch class, though, be ready to face the consequences. Ditching class doesn't have to be hard, but it should be well-planned. Learn how to ditch class in high school by following these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Decide what class you want to skip. It should be a class that doesn't have a harsh teacher who will go looking for you. Choose a class that you can afford to skip, preferably one that you are not failing.
Step2
Find out what is going on in that class ahead of time, if possible. You won't want to skip only to find out that you missed out on an assignment that can't be made up.
Step3
Plan ahead. Find a place to go during the ditched class. A deserted hall, staircase or bathroom can work. If you can sneak off school grounds, you will be less likely to run into a teacher or nosy student.
Step4
Be prepared to face the consequences of being caught. You may be caught by the principal, a teacher, another student or a parent. If you are caught, the best thing to do is face the punishment and don't try to ditch class for a while.
Step5
Pick certain days of the year to ditch class. Ditching class too often raises suspicions with teachers. You shouldn't get into the habit of ditching the same class often.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't skip a class when an important test is scheduled unless you are 100 percent sure you will be allowed to take a make-up test with an unexcused absence.
