1
Grab a pencil or pen and a pad of paper and carry it everywhere with you. Write down everything you need to accomplish. Don't try to organize them at this point, as they come into your head write them down. For example: need milk, feed kids, go to store, need cereal, get in car, need sugar, go home. Writing things down clears the head and makes tasks easier. Review what you wrote.

2
Organize what you wrote or put them in order of importance. Using the example above you would write: go to store, buy milk, cereal and sugar, go home, feed kids. Check that you didn't leave anything out. If you did add it and put it in the order where it belongs.

Try a more complicated task. For example: Clean the house for company tonight. Write down what you need to do, such as: Clean the bathroom, do the wash, dust, vacuum, clean the kitchen, cook the dinner, go to the store, clean the living room and dining room, and so on. This may be too much to tackle on your own so you need to delegate some of the jobs to other members of your family.
-
4
Write down the members of your family and when they are available. Then write down the tasks you want each of them to do and the tasks you have for yourself, for example: dusting/children, shopping/husband, laundry/you.
-
5
Present you family with their list and let them know that their tasks need to be accomplished immediately in order to have everything done for the company who will be coming over. You will be impressed to see your family rise to the occasion and complete everything on time.
