Make sure you both have valid digital passports. It is now required that everyone has a valid passport when traveling to other countries.

Get blood tests done about 20 days before you plan to marry. This is a requirement in Cozumel. Even if you get the tests done in your home country, you will need them certified by a doctor in Mexico when you arrive.

Have your witnesses lined up beforehand if you are planning a civil wedding ceremony. Make sure your witnesses know which day you are going to be married as well as the time and place so they definitely make it for your special wedding day.

Bring your relevant documents from home. Make sure you have your divorce or death certificates if you have been previously married and divorced or widowed.

Take your ID and passport if you are getting married. You must be over the age of 18 years old to get married. Also include a copy of an immigration visa slip that you received when arriving in Cozumel, Mexico.
