Transform your old and boring T-shirt into something more fun and customized. It doesn't take skill or a sewing machine--anyone can do it. It is the best way to recycle old clothes and get your money's worth out of them. Read on to learn how to customize a T-shirt.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use an online service to order T-shirts customized with your artwork or text. Sites like Custom Ink have a huge selection of T-shirt styles and colors to choose from. You can use your artwork or theirs.

  2. Step 2

Add your favorite photo to a T-shirt through photo developers such as Wal-Mart or Snapfish. You can have that special someone close to your heart at all times, on display for the world to see.

  3. Step 3

Apply bleach to a colored T-shirt with a cotton swab or bleach pen in a design of your choice. Write words, draw a smiley face or display your abstract artwork.

  4. Step 4

Accessorize your T-shirt. Sew beads on your sleeves or hem. Sew other fabrics on your T-shirt to customize it. Get creative with unusual accessories like straps, bows, plastic bags and jewelry. Cut holes in the sides and lace them up with leather ties or shoestrings.

  5. Step 5

Iron on designs that you buy at craft stores or online. Mix and match them to your taste.

  6. Step 6

Cut, twist and sew it to make it look much hipper than a normal T-shirt. Cut the sleeves off or make a v-neck. Twist the sleeves and neck together to make straps that sit on your shoulder instead of sleeves.
