How to Find a Mother's Day Gift With Kids

Kids will be excited to get involved in choosing their Mother's Day gift. Even on a small, kid-sized budget, there are plenty of creative way to show their mom how great she is on this special day. From inexpensive items to those that don't cost a cent, help the kids choose a Mother's Day gift that she will love.

Instructions

1. Ask the kids for ideas regarding the Mother's Day gift. Help them by asking questions. What do they think she would like? What does Mom like to do for fun? What do they want the gift to mean?

2. Discuss that a gift can be purchased or made, or it can come in the form of a gesture--simply doing something extra special for Mom.

3. Have the kids select a couple different stores the would like to shop from if they choose that route, and plan a shopping trip.

4. Encourage the kids with fun ideas if they would like to make Mom a gift. Original works of art, a freshly picked bouquet of flowers, a decorated picture frame or photo album are suggestions.

5. Suggest other ideas if they would like to do something for their mother. It could be making her breakfast, washing her car or baking her favorite sweet something.

6. Involve the kids completely--all the way down to the wrapping and presentation. She will love their effort and they will learn the meaning of giving a loved one a gift filled with love.
