Step 1
Store your child's bathtub toys in an old mesh bag. Apply a hook that suctions to the wall for easy drying. You can also use the bag for storing bulbs in a cool, dry place if they are bought before planting season.
-
Step 2
Use plastic grocery bags for various trash and dirty items. Scoop the cat poop from the litter box, or keep some extra bags in your car for trash, soggy clothes or dirty diapers. Line your small trash cans instead of buying those expensive ones. Another option is to use several rolled up bags to cushion a package.
-
Step 3
Make use of newspaper delivery sacks for covering ceiling fan blades when painting the ceiling. Cover your arms and hands instead of using gloves for such projects as cleaning the litter box.
-
Step 4
Reuse canvas holders over and over as shopping bags since they hold up well. This recycling will eliminate the need to use plastic grocery bags.
-
Step 5
Place larger plastic bags over tree stumps to help with removal. Completely cover the tree stump with several bags and secure them with heavy rocks. After about a month, check for any new growth and remove it. Cover the stump again, and it will die off in a few months, making it easy to remove.

on 1/15/2009 I have a suggestion to contribute. May be a little off the wall and wacky, but why not use plastic bags for toys - particularly to stuff plush dolls. Create a doll using odd bits of fabric, or through crocheting or knitting, and then stuff. Would make for an interesting toy.
