Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Vacuum the entire carpet. Before you work on the corners, use a vacuum over the rest of the carpet.
Step2
Take a handheld brush and sweep at the debris in the corner. You should remove any larger debris that has accumulated in the corner. This will prevent any objects from becoming lodged in the vacuum cleaner.
Step3
Take the vacuum hose and work along the corners of the carpet. This will help remove all dust and dirt in the area.
Step4
Use a wedge mop to clean the corners of the carpet. Dip the mop in water and a cleaning solution. Woolite makes an effective carpet cleaning solution. Scrub at the corner to remove any carpet stains.
Step5
Allow the corners to dry. The carpet should not be walked on until it is completely dry, usually overnight.
Step6
Use a carpet protecting spray. These protectants will guard your carpet against stains and dirt build up. Hoover and Scotchgard both make low-cost carpet and upholstery protecting solutions.
