Apply a cold compress to the eyes. Use a cool wash cloth to hold ice cubes or ice chips and lay it across the eyes for 5 minutes. Another cold compress treatment can be made from tea bags made with regular tea, green tea or a chamomile mixture. Submerge the tea bags in cool water for 10 minutes. Wring out excess water and place gently on closed eyelids for 20 minutes.

Use two of nature's best treatments for eye-puffiness: cucumber and potato. These vegetables each have astringent properties that help decrease water retention around the eyes. Slice either cucumber or potato very thin and apply to each eyelid for 10 to 15 minutes. Also try grating potato or cumbumber and putting it into a small pouch of cheese cloth, which can then be place on the eyelids. After using, rinse the eyelids gently and pat the skin dry.

Put very cold milk into a small bowl. Dip cotton squares into it and gently squeeze out excess. Place them onto eyelids and lie down for 15 to 20 minutes, changing the cotton squares when they become warm. Afterwards, rinse the eye area with cool water.

Separate two egg whites and whip them to stiff peaks, using a fork, egg beater or whisk. While the whites are fluffy, take a small amount on the fingertips and gently spread under each eye and on each eyelid. Lie down for 10 minutes or until the egg white dries. Rinse off gently with cool water.
