Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Self propelled or adjustable lawn mower
- Wrench
- Weed eater (if necessary)
Step1
Use a mower that is a self-propelled walk-behind mower or a mower that has adjustable speeds. This will allow you to control the speed of the mower being that a slope may be dangerous when mowing.
Step2
Adjust the blade of the mower higher than the rest of the yard. This will help prevent scalping of the yard and make mowing easier. If the hill is too long once mowed at a higher level, lower the blade at that point and mow it again.
Step3
Mow the sloped yard across the slope rather than up and down. This will keep the mower from getting away from you or rolling back onto you.
Step4
Start mowing at the top of the slope and work downward.
