Step 1
Look over each garment and treat any spots. Use the dry-cleaning sheet or a separate stain spotter. The dry-cleaning kit works by using heat; heat sets stains, so give each item a thorough going-over
-
Step 2
Sort garments by fabric weight or type. Dry clean wool and heavier fabrics in one load; group lightweight fabrics like silk and rayon in another. Dry clean both suit garments in the same load.
-
Step 3
Button and zip all garments. Make sure pockets are empty.
-
Step 4
Process the bag in the dryer for about 10 minutes, or according to manufacturer's directions. Do not over stuff the bag.
-
Step 5
Remove items from the dryer bag immediately when the cycle is complete. Hang or fold garments right away to avoid wrinkling.
-
Step 6
Touch-up trousers and business suits with an iron to smooth the fabric. For a crisp, professional pressing, take the items to the dry cleaners.
