How to Use a Home Dry-Cleaning Kit

2. Sort garments by fabric weight or type. Dry clean wool and heavier fabrics in one load; group lightweight fabrics like silk and rayon in another. Dry clean both suit garments in the same load.

3. Button and zip all garments. Make sure pockets are empty.

4. Process the bag in the dryer for about 10 minutes, or according to manufacturer's directions. Do not over stuff the bag.

5. Remove items from the dryer bag immediately when the cycle is complete. Hang or fold garments right away to avoid wrinkling.

6. Touch-up trousers and business suits with an iron to smooth the fabric. For a crisp, professional pressing, take the items to the dry cleaners.
