Once you have placed your bet at the window, you can stand with the other punters and watch the race on one of the many television screens. Try and stop yourself from shouting at the screen as your horse either falls at a fence or comes close to the finish--you won't be able to.

Try and place your bets as early as possible as this will usually get you better odds, although if your horse ends up not taking part, then you are out of luck.

Place an each-way bet if you do not have a clue about racing and then your horse only has to place, come in first, second or third for you to win some money.
