When writing a song you need thoughts, rhymes & a story. One of my 1st songs I wrote was to my son for his wedding. The lyrics came easy for me cuz it was how I felt about him & his new bride. I hooked up with a guy who wrote music & it was a done deal. We recorded it on his equipment & made a demo & got it professionally burned & wrapped. It is no different from one you buy in the stores. Marketing is harder. Use internet(eBay, Amazon & own web site www.shopmysongs.com), word of mouth, family & friends.

on 8/7/2007 Once your song is written, lyrics & music, then it needs to be recorded. You can record in a studio or on home recording computers. They are the same. When we recorded, we recorded the music 1st then the singers & any more instruments you want to add. All the tracks are put together & made into one recording. You can edit the tracks. The singer may sing the same line 5 times & you take the best one. It is sung sometimes one line at a time then all put together. After we did all this, which takes days, then we had it professionally burned & packaged. We had professionally art work done by computers for the cover jacket & cd. It's interesting & a lot of hard work. You need to find the right people to work with since so many in the business are out to take your $ & not get the results.
