If you own or run a business these steps will help you get rid of staff. I have worked at places that did some of these things and they were horrible places to work. At some point you see the writing on the wall and find something better. Check out the related How on ruining your business.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Employees
  • A business
  1. Step 1

Do not give employees raises. Not ever no matter how long they work there. It should be a prvielege for them to work for you.

  2. Step 2

If an employee wants a raise, give them a contract with a list of projects to complete to get a raise and then make it impossible for the employee to complete any of the projects.

  3. Step 3

Tell your employees they need to work 16 hours a day since you do. This is great for morale.

  4. Step 4

Give employees cell phone numbers to customers so the customer can get 24/7 support.

  5. Step 5

Tell programmers to directly deal with customers so they cannot program, then criticze programmers for not meeting deadlines.

  6. Step 6

Hide everything from your employees, they do not need to know anything.

  7. Step 7

Make all employees answer the phones and deal with collection calls. That will make them work harder to make sure they get a paycheck.

  8. Step 8

Promise benefits and then do not provide them.

Tips & Warnings
  • If this sounds like your job, it is time to find a better one.

on 9/24/2008 Sounds exactly like my last job. Had I seen your "how to" I would have known to walk away a lot sooner than I did.

on 12/21/2007 Yo, Scouter, a great piece. The funny part is that, as outlandish as these items may seem, they are all too real.
