Although some of this will sound pretty funny, these are actual situations that I have witnessed in my life and have seen the negative impacts on the businesses. You do not need an MBA or a business plan to fail. They do help you succeed, but sometimes your attitude can be the biggest problem.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A functioning business
  1. Step 1

Charge less for your product or service than it costs you to provide it.

  2. Step 2

Offer customization to seal the deal and do not charge extra or deliver.

  3. Step 3

Insist at every opportunity that you have to provide the cheapest product.

  4. Step 4

Yell at your customers and call them liars when you make a mistake. You may want to hang up on them.

  5. Step 5

Refuse to talk to a customer if you have not kept promises.

  6. Step 6

Decide to find another job for yourself and leave your employees stranded. Then refuse to respond to customers or employees. This is a sure way to succeed.

  7. Step 7

You are the business owner, so you know more about all aspects than the advisors you hire. You can ignore the advise of your attorney and accountant.

  8. Step 8

Assume your customers are really stupid. They will figure out that you cannot provide a quality product or service and customize and be the cheapest price.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you want to succeed avoid the steps above
  • If you go to work at a company, and this seems like the business plan, RUN!
