How to Get a Permit to Carry a Concealed Weapon in Pennsylvania

You need a permit or a license to carry a concealed gun in Pennsylvania; carrying one without a permit is a third-degree felony. In Pennsylvania, the license to carry will not automatically give you the right to purchase a weapon-you still must go through a background check to purchase a gun. To get a permit, you must be 21 years old and not have been convicted of a felony.
