You can survive a break up and resume your life with joy and ambition. Follow these steps.

From Quick Guide: Dating and Breakups
Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Resist the urge to ask your ex-lover back. The relationship is over, and you do not want to seem desperate. It might seem like the right move at the time, but it might only worsen the situation and make it more painful for you.

  2. Step 2

Stick to your close friends and family. They will always be there for you when you are suffering from a break up. Lean on them and talk things out. Stay busy with them and focus on other things than the break up.

  3. Step 3

Join a new group, a sports team or take up a new craft. Whatever you choose, it is bound to keep you busy and distracted from thinking about the break up. Staying busy is a key factor to survive this situation.

  4. Step 4

Get a new style or haircut. Go get a pedicure, a manicure or a makeover. Do things for yourself so that you can build your self-esteem back up to where it was before the break up. You are number one now!

on 12/20/2008 Whos writing these things? I kind of disagree, no matter what happens, you're just going to have to deal with it. I agree going out is good. Again, depends on the condition of the relationship, and how long it was. Its not so cut and dry.
