Children are naturally creative, so what better way to let them express it than through scrapbooking? Your children can create something memorable and help you catch up on that endless pile of photos. Follow these steps to scrapbook with your children.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Decorative paper
  • Safety scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • Stickers
  • Photos
  • Pens
  1. Step 1

Provide an open area with a lot of room to work. Make sure that it is an area that will not be damaged by spilled glue, markers or stickers. A kitchen table covered in plastic is perfect.

  2. Step 2

Lay out the supplies so they are easy to find. Arrange the papers and stickers so that the children can see all of them.

  3. Step 3

Organize the pictures by events or dates, depending upon how you want to separate the albums. Let the children decide what kind of books they want to make.

  4. Step 4

Do the journaling for the younger children, but write exactly what they say. If you allow them to use their own words it will make the scrapbook more meaningful for you and them.

  5. Step 5

Encourage the older children to journal on their pages. Show them how to use the journaling squares or letter stickers, but allow them to do it on their own.
