Tips & Warnings
When drinking a young Barolo, allow it to breathe for one to two hours before serving. Using a decanter will work best for aerating this wine.
For a more mature Barolo, allow it to breathe for about an hour before serving. Again, use a decanter.
Don't aerate the wine if you are lucky enough to have bottle of Barolo that is more than 15 years old. Older wines have the tendency to begin to break down when exposed to air.
