How to Make Halloween Spider Pops

Make spider pops for your trick-or-treaters this Halloween. The spider pop a yummy treat to enjoy at a party or to give away on Halloween night. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Suckers or Lollipops
  • Black pipe cleaners
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Glue

Instructions

    • 1

      Start with four black pipe cleaners and one pre-wrapped lollipop. Hold the pipe cleaners together and wrap them all at one time around the base of the lollipop stick.

      Squeeze the pipe cleaners tightly around the sucker stick so they won't slip off. Spread the pipe cleaners out making sure there are four pipe cleaners on each side of the sucker stick and that your spider has eight legs.

      Bend each lollipop about three-quarters of the way down the pipe cleaner. Shape them to resemble eight spider legs.

      Glue two wiggle eyes to the pipe cleaners at the base of the lollipop stick. The eyes should fit over the area where the pipe cleaner twists around the stick. Let the eyes dry completely before moving.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make spider pops for your child's school Halloween party. Attach a small piece of paper to each spider pop with the student's name on it.

  • Find all black wrapped suckers for a spookier spider.

  • Create bats, witches or ghosts using suckers and different color pipe cleaners.
