Visit the Texas Parks and Wildlife website. Type the words ¨fishing license¨ in the search field. Scroll down the list of archives to the ¨TPWD: fishing licenses and packages¨ title and click.

Read the information for state fishing regulations and requirements. Review all the different types of fishing licenses and options. Determine which type of fishing license to purchase.

Choose the ¨Where to Get Information and Licenses¨ link from the left menu.

Purchase license online by clicking on the ¨On-line License Sales¨ link. Use a Visa, Discover, or MasterCard. An additional $5 fee is charged for this convenience. Review the website information carefully.

Click on the ¨Go to online license sale¨ link. Read over the information on the page. Press the ¨Continue¨ button when done. A pop-up window will open. Choose the option that best describes your transaction and click on the ¨Click here¨ link.

Fill out all the information requested and press the ¨Submit¨ button when done. Follow the website prompts to purchase your license.

Follow Steps 1 through 3 carefully as mentioned above. Read website information completely, then scroll down to the ¨Buying Licenses¨ heading.

Have your Visa, Discover, or MasterCard handy. Remember that an additional $5 fee is added to your card for this type of purchase.

Purchase your fishing license by calling (800) 895-4248 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., on weekdays only. The office is closed on weekends and on most holidays.

Go down the website to the ¨Buying Licenses¨ heading. Select the ¨Local License Sales¨ link and click.

Type the city name in the box and press the ¨Find¨ button. Find the nearest agent and visit their office to purchase your fishing license.
