Find a local licensed agent in Minnesota and get the application forms. Attach proofs of: age eligibility (you must be at least 21), United States citizenship and residency in Minnesota.

Bring your driver's license, passport photographs and the license fee with you when applying for a fishing license in Minnesota.

Choose from varying options of a 24-hour license, 72 hours, a license good for a week or a full season license. Husband/wife and family licenses are also available. Separate stamp for trout and salmon are required. If you are over 60, you do not need any stamps.

Purchase licenses by either visiting the certified agent. You also can call agents and fax them the information. You can pick up the license later.
